National Activity
We are weaving together initiatives at state and local levels to build a national right to food movement across the United States. By building capacity and coordination at state and local levels, we are creating a platform for greater collaboration around federal policies that affect the realization of the right to food for everyone.
We work with partners at the national level to raise the profile of the right to food within related work around environmental, racial, health, and housing justice. We believe the right to food is central to progressively realizing other economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights and are working with allies in these movements to strengthen our collective voices.
Opportunities to get involved:

Membership meetings take place monthly and are open to all members. Updates are shared about developments in national policy and practice.
The Poverty, Public Policy, and Politics working group is a space for members to work together to influence and respond to developments in federal policy and practice.
Each year, we host a National Summit to deepen connections with each other, learn from and about right to food work taking place in different parts of the country, and strengthen our efforts to advance the right to food across the United States.
