International Activity
We work with partners across the United States to engage with processes at the United Nations that help us advance the right to food at home. Although the United States is not bound by many of the international laws that contain the right to food, we find ways to leverage our existing commitments to build awareness and momentum around the right to food at local, state and federal levels.
We learn from right to food movements around the world and contribute to the Global Solidarity Alliance for Rights not Charity.
We are affiliated with FIAN International, a global human rights organization that advocates for the right to adequate food and nutrition and supports grassroots communities and movements in their struggles against right to food violations.
Opportunities to get involved:

Membership meetings take place monthly and are open to all members. Updates are shared about our work with international partners and engagement with international institutions like the United Nations.
The Global Linkages working group is a space for members to work together on submissions to the United Nations, engage with international partners, and strategize about our role as a Community of Practice holding the U.S. government accountable for the effect of its policies and laws in other countries.
